Sleep.

But hey, I run around, do a fair amount
of sniffing. Squirrels, birds, bugs.
It's a windfall out there.
And then when not much is happening,
I snooze and dream.
And you know you can see me whimpering or twitching.

Hey, I only have a few expressions anyway.
Guarded, happy, confused and pleading.
Most of the time I choose happy. It works on both ends. Tail. Butt wiggle. Smile.
What was it you said, "Cookie"? "Walkies"? "Ride in the car"? "Dog park"? Who cares?

I've Earned My Grey Hair.

             As we get older, the grey hair starts to show up, doesn't it?                                  Our walks are slower and it takes longer to get up on our feet.

 We stumble a bit and everyone notices you're just a little slower in your step.
      I've noticed it a bit about you.
