Get rid of the dog !

Who let this dog in?
How can you even think it?
Did I do something wrong?
He’s so clumsy and has muddy paws.
(Of course, I haven’t met MeMe, who I hear is awesome)
Want to make me happy?
Get rid of the dog!

Gazing at you!

Sometimes being close can be sweet.
Don't you just love that?
I can be on their lap, on the chair next to them, we're all happy
being together.
All's well. Mom or Dad are here.
My long hair gets stroked and
if I'm really lucky
they'll take me for a ride in the car.

Bliss city.

Couch Cat !

I'm your couch cat.
You know the one who lounges around all day..
 I don't do much.
Sort of like the parking attendant who says,
"I don't parks the cars, I just points to the spaces."
Hey, if you want to see me move,
just open a can of my dinner.
I'll move.

I Can See Clearly Now

Why do people put glasses on us?
Is it because we look cuter to them?
Don't they know how ridiculous we look with glasses,
sun glasses or the  funny hats or scarves they dress us with?
Sure, we put up with it to please them. Hey, it's the least we can do.

But do they think we can see better?
I'll tell you what I see.
I see you haven't made my dinner yet,
that's what I see.

A cat can  be so satisfied.
We humans don't always get to that place but a cat can.
And it can be for the simplest of reasons.
A dead bird. The sound of the can opener. Your recently abandoned chair.
With the glasses on he almost seems to be saying,
"I did it, and you can't touch me
'cause I'm wearing glasses. Cool ones too".
Where's my dog at times like this?

I put a lot of bright warm color into this one,
splashing it in the background
and working the few cool colors
where they would do the most good.

Neeeeowww I'm happy.

Want my stick ?

I worked for this stick. Some guy threw it and a bunch of us took off.
There was this hairball behind me,
MeMe I think they called her and she was herding all of us.
She didn’t want the stick!  She was just herding us.
Well, I got there first, bumped a poodle out of the way and here
I am, stick in hand, er, mouth.
Want it? It’s a bit gooey but, it’s a great stick.
Will ya’ throw it again?

You may notice I don’t talk much about the painting - what techniques I chose, lighting, color.
No it’s the subject that fascinates me. These dogs and cats, I’ve known most of them.
We’ve Friended each other. It’s cool.
